List at least five words that describe the UGA community.
High morale, team players, high standards, small town, big town ideas

If I had to offer one piece of advice for incoming students about living and learning in the UGA community, it would be:
March to the beat of your own drum. Fitting in is not the point. Creating your IN is the point.

Describe an eye-opening cultural experience you have encountered during your time at UGA, either on campus or during an off-campus University event or program.
I am from Athens so I did not have the same on campus diverse experience like other out of towners. I grew up there and so was able to watch how people searched for their "place to belong." I learned that it is incredibly important to be comfortable in your own skin. It's important to connect with like minded individuals...so as not to fall through the cracks during your collegiate experience. It is equally important to put yourself into some uncomfortable situations so that you can test your strength and learn what life is like from another perspective.
